CEUD was one of the 23 partner organisations from Europe and the Middle East that participated in this contact making event which involved 45 organizational managers and youth leaders who work on promoting entrepreneurship among young people.
The event gave participants inspiration for promoting entrepreneurship amongst the youth in their local communities and a number of 11 concrete partnerships have been initiated. The project ‘Entrepreneurial Knowledgebase’ is the result of the ideas and partnerships made during this contact making event.
High youth unemployment rates in the EU poses a threat to European society. Young people are a huge resource for the European society, but they have to create new jobs for themselves using innovative new visions and ideas to fight unemployment. It is no longer enough just to look at existing jobs and young people need to think creatively to fight unemployment.
So the objectives of the Contact Making Event were:
- To strengthen the partnership between youth organizations aiming to promote entrepreneurship among young people;
- To gather best practices in promoting entrepreneurship an entrepreneurial thinking among young people;
- To create new projects within the Erasmus+ to promote entrepreneurship among young people.
The project took place in Slettestrand, between April 23rd and April 30th, 2015.
